Call for Presenters and Facilitators The Center for Teaching Excellence announces a
Call for
Presenters for the Graduate Academy for College Teaching (Aug. 18 & 19) and
the Graduate Symposium on Grading & Office Hours (Aug. 20), our TA and ITA
orientation programs. We invite faculty, APs, and experienced TAs to design
engaging concurrent sessions about teaching and/or to facilitate small group
sessions on foundational teaching topics.
New Teaching Certificate Program CTE has developed several new teaching certificates to
meet the professional development needs and interests of faculty and TAs.

Center Areas

Instructional Development - This area is the campus center for teaching enhancement and excellence.
It provides consultative services to individual faculty members and TAs,
and facilitates workshops and seminars to academic units, colleges, or
the campus on instructional, course, and curricular issues.
In addition, hands-on computer training is provided to
faculty and staff through
the FAST3 consortium.

Measurement and Evaluation
- This area provides services and consultation to faculty and the campus
in the area of instructor and course evaluation, student outcomes assessment
(including classroom testing), and the assessment of instruction and curriculum.

Director's Office - The director and
his staff provide technical support for the campus on Student
Outcomes Assessment, coordinate the Administrator Evaluation Program,
administer the Senior
Survey, conduct the Annual Exit Study of Faculty Leaving the University,
and perform program evaluations.
