The Certificate in Technology-Enhanced Teaching is a program of the Center for Teaching Excellence
(CTE) in partnership with Campus Information Technologies and Educational Services (CITES), along
with the University Library. It is supported by campus academic units and the Graduate College. It
is designed to encourage instructors to explore educational technologies and to practice and assess
technology-enhanced teaching.
When you decide to work on the Certificate in Technology-Enhanced Teaching, contact CTE to be matched with a Specialist in
Education who will be your consultant for the process. You are encouraged to start working on the certificate as soon
as possible in your graduate career. However, there is no time limit for completion of the requirements.
Certificate Requirements
- Teach at least one semester using a course management system at the University of Illinois.
- Submit an example of your original work that has been assessed by your students or peers.
